François believes that modern makeup should enhance a woman’s look without ever dominating or masking her own beauty. The NARS complexion collection includes primer, foundation, tinted moisturizer, concealer and powder.

Francois believes the NARS complexion is about translucent looking skin. Here are his four essential steps to creating a radiant complexion that lets your beauty shine through.

1. PREPARE AND PRIME

Prepare skin with the appropriate NARSskin products.
Apply the appropriate NARS face primer.

2. MATCH AND BLEND

Always warm liquid foundation or tinted moisturizer in the hand and apply with fingertips—this creates the most natural-looking finish. Start where more coverage is needed (typically in the center of the face) and work out toward the edge of the face.

3. CORRECT AND PERFECT

Use concealer to brighten undereye discolorations and to cover spots and blemishes.

When covering spots or blemishes, match the skin tone with concealer. Concealer has more coverage than foundation, so use sparingly.

You can apply it from the applicator, with fingertips or with the #12 Cream Blending Brush. Like foundation, the warmth from fingers helps to blend it.

4. SET AND FINISH

Depending on your preference, set with desired powder.
